Trackless Buses Stranded

Many people suffered inconvenience at Conisborough and Denaby last night, when the trackless system, operated by Mexborough and Swinton Traction through the townships, was brought a standstill through fault in the overhead control at Denaby.

Trackless vehicles were stranded, the hold up lasting for about two hours. Linesman were busily engaged in repairs.

The system part of the traction company’s route to Rotherham but it was possible for travellers to resume their journey by walking to the Toll Bar at Mexborough.
