Trap Accident at Denaby Main.
Late Saturday night a waggonette, driven by son of a greengrocer at named Silverwood, whilst proceeding from Denaby Main to Mexborough, ran into a horse and trap driven by Mr. F. Swallow, butcher, of Mexborough.
Mr. Swallow’s brother, who was riding with him, was pitched on to the horse’s back, and the shaft of the trap struck Silverwood’s horse and entered its breast.
The shafts of the other trap are curved at the ends, and although they struck Mr. Swallow’s horse, they glanced off and did comparatively little damage.
After walking few yards Silverwood’s horse dropped dead.
