Trip To U.S.A.

Conisbrough and Denaby Voyagers

The second member of the Mullen family to visit America within a year is 25-year Mary, of Minneymoor House, Doncaster Rd., Conisbrough, who disembarked from the ‘Queen Mary’ on Easter Monday after a very rough crossing, on which she was accompanied by Nurse Ethel O’Brien, Warmsworth Street, Denaby, who is visiting her sister, Mrs Kathleen Bigg, who is living in New Jersey.

Mary is to stay in New York with her aunt, Mrs Birkinshaw, who emigrated from Ireland some years ago.

Her father, Mr James Mullen, returned in September from a holiday in America and her sisters. Kitty and Delia are hoping to go where she returns.

Mr Mullen is a well-known business man in Denaby, and his daughters work in his shop.
