Twice as much

10 years old Julie Boldan, of 27, Denaby Avenue, Conisbrough, has held a jumble sale in aid of the “save the children” fund.

Her mother, Mrs. Josephine Boldan, baked cakes and made trifles and her brother Stephen helped her set up her stall in the garden. The event raised £11 7s. and doubled last year’s total of £5.10 s

Miss P. Gerard Smith, appeals secretary of the fund, has written a thank you letter to Julie, who is a pupil at Morley place School.
