Two Denaby Miners Sweep Board

Two Denaby miner gardeners, Messrs W, Stocks and F. Watson, obtained 60 prizes between them at the annual show of Denaby Allotment Garden and Horticultural Society at the Denaby Welfare Institute on Saturday.

All the 421 exhibits, shown by nearly 60 exhibitors were from the gardens and allotments of Denaby and district, and Mr. Stocks, who secured 18 firsts, 10 seconds, eight thirds, and two special prizes, won the championship cup.

Mr. Watson, who obtained nine firsts eight seconds, and 15 thirds, was awarded the runner-up’s medal.
