Two Fatal Accidents At Cadeby.

Two fatal accidents, caused by falls of roof, have occurred at Cadeby Colliery during the past two days.

George Hollingsworth, a collier, of 17, Melton Hill, High Melton, was following his employment in the Parkgate seam on Wednesday afternoon when he was injured by a heavy fall of dirt. He was removed to the Fullerton Hospital, where he died at 9 o’clock the same evening.

The second accident, which occurred at 4-30 a.m. yesterday, was also in the Park gate seam. James Brown (45), a married man, of Hobcroft Common, Conisboro’, was following his employment as a contractor when he was crushed by a fall of roof and killed instantly.

Following the usual practice, the pit “stood” a shift yesterday.
