United are Seeking New Team Chief
Denaby United are looking to fill the position of manager which has been vacant since Harry Hough chose to resign a month ago.
Two applications have been received for the Yorkshire League post and the club is anxious to fill the position as quickly as possible to help their efforts in preparations for next season when they are hoping to be back in the Midland League.
It will be Denaby’s third manager this season. Mr Hough resigned following comments over playing tactics and was preceded by Sheffield Mr Les Cowley.
Club chairman Eddie Longford told the “South Yorkshire Times: We feel that the club if it is to be successful it must have an enthusiastic manager with plenty of experience.
We want to make the appointment as soon as possible so we can get on with our plans for next season. Our application for Midland League membership is going in. I think we are bound to be accepted. We shall also remain in the Yorkshire league with a reserve side.”
Application’s expecting salary and experience need to be in for next Wednesday the 20th and should be’s address to Mr T Sapey, secretary, Denaby United F.C., 9 Fullerton Avenue, Conanby, Conisbrough.
A special management meeting may be called to make the decision. Otherwise the choice will be made at the following weekly committee meeting.
