Unsecured Bull at Conisboro’

Wm. Revill, butcher, Conisboro’, was summoned for allowing a bull belonging to him to be unsecured at Conisboro’ on the 8th August.

P.C. Thompson said that on the date named he saw three beasts come running down the street. One of them was a bull, with a ring through its nose and a strong rope attached to the ring. The defendant and one of his servants were in charge of them.

He asked them where he had brought it from, and he said, “Down the town.” Witness asked him how old it was, and he said, “Between 15 and 18 months,” and he also said it had broken loose.

The defendant was fined £2 6s., and costs 7s. 6d.
