Violent Assault At Denaby
On Saturday, at the Doncaster West Riding Police Court, Peter Killoran, collier, Mexborough, was summoned for having assaulted Thomas Turton at Denaby on November 23.
The parties were in Church walk. Denaby, and defendant struck complainant from behind, knocking him with his head on the kerbstone and rendering him insensible.
The defence that a short time previously complainant had given defendant a violent four.
A fine of 10 shillings and costs, or a month’s imprisonment was imposed.
