Wedding
The wedding took place at Halifax Parish Church of Miss Constance Bent, younger daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. A. Bent, of 21, Bracewell Bank, Wheatley, Halifax, and Sgt. Fred Haughey, R.A.F., second son of Mrs. Kearn and the late Mr. J. Haughey, 5, Brooke Square, Conisbrough.
The bride was given away by her uncle, Mr. H. Phelps, and wore a gown of white lace over satin, cut on classical lines, falling in a train, with a veil held by orange blossoms. She carried roses, and was attended by Mrs. L. Barker and Mrs. E. Sloane, and two small attendants, Joyce Phelps and Joan Nicholson.
Mr. S. Barker was best man, and groomsmen were Mr. E. Haughey and Mr. J. Bowery.
The bride and bridegroom later left for a honeymoon on the west coast, the bride travelling in a two-piece of mustard and n—-r brown.
