At Denaby Parish Church on Saturday. Miss Lilian May Chevons, of Jubilee Villa, Church Road, Denaby Main was married to Gunner Douglas Stone, of 8, Wheatley Street, Denaby Main.

The bride had lived with her grandmother, Mrs. Hibberd, for many years, and the bridegroom was formerly in the employ of the Denaby Main Co-operative Society, and is now attached to the Air Borne troops of the R.A.

They were both members of the Church Sunday School teaching staff, from whom they received a silver teapot. The service was conducted by the Rev. S. Powley and was fully choral. Mr. E. Dabbs played the wedding march. Given away by her uncle (Mr. Frank Hibberd), the bride wore a gown of white lace over satin with embroidered bodice and full bishop sleeves of georgette and embroidered veil and coronet of orange blossom, and carried pink roses.

Miss Joyce Hibberd was the only attendant and wore mauve taffeta with a toning Dresden head-dress of anemones, and carried red carnations. Best man was Mr. Norman Craven and groomsman Mr. E. Joyner.
