The marriage of Miss Margaret Collins, daughter of Mr Mrs E Collins, of 28, The Crescent, Conisbrough, to Mr Patrick McKay, of Northern Ireland took place at Saint Alban’s RC Church, Denaby Main, on Saturday.
Nuptial Mass was sung by the children of Saint Alban’s School, trained by Mr G Williamson.
The organist was Mr S Jevons, of Maltby.
The bride, given away by her father, was attired in a gown of ivory satin cut in princess style, trimmed with gold and white brocade with Juliet cap of orange blossom and veil of fine French tulle. She carried a spray of white carnations and was attended by Miss Pat Allan, Mrs E Meeham, Mrs M Naylor, Miss Kay Collins and Master Keith Norton as page.
The bridesmaids wore ivory brocade dresses, sashes and crinoline hats of apple green, and carried white and gold chrysanthemums.
The bride was presented with a horseshoe by Anthony Holbrook, of Mexborough.
The best man was Mr Peter McCabe and groomsman Mr E Collins.
The bride is on the teaching staff of Leggatt’s Way School, Watford, and was previously on the staff of Saint Alban’s School, and gifts were received from scholars of both schools.
The bridegroom was on the staff of Messrs McDonald and Gibbs, Wethersfield, Essex.
