At Conisborough Parish Church on Saturday, Miss Nellie Steel, eldest, daughter of Mr. E. Steel and the late Mrs Steel, Holywell Lane, Conisborough, was married to Mr. Robert Edwin Read, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Read, Doncaster Road, Denaby, the Rev. W.J.T. Pascoe officiating.
The bride was given away by her brother, Mr.John Steel, and wore floral ninon, and carried Gladioli.
Her bridesmaid, Miss Lucy Steel also wore floral ninon and carried gladioli.
The best man was Mr Wilfred Read.
