Mr. W. Sproston (Conisborough) and Miss P. Grimes (Conisborough).

Miss Phyllis Grimes, fourth daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. G. Grimes, 37, Chambers Avenue. Conisborough. was attired in a beautiful gown of lace and satin beaute with veil and coronet of orange blossom when she was married at Conisboro’ Parish Church last Saturday to Mr. William Sproston, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Sproston, 1, Burcroft Hlll, Conisborough.

The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. George Grimes, who is in the Coldstream Guards, and was attended by Miss Annie Asquith in a dress of blue satin beaute. Miss Jane Grimes wearing a blue and pink taffeta dress, the Misses Brenda and Vera Grimes, who wore dresses of old gold taffeta with muffs to match, and Miss Joan Norton and Miss June Grimes who wore dresses of mauve and muffs to match.

The page-boys were Master Graham Barker and Master Vernon Taylor who presented the bride with horseshoes outside the church. Mr. Enoch Bell, of Denaby, was best man and the bride’s brother. Mr. Frank Grimes, was groomsman.
