Wedding – Hare & Garbutt (picture)

Wearing a gown of white figured satin with full skirt and full length veil surmounted by a coronet of orange blossom and carrying dark red carnations, Miss Dorothy Hare, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H.G. Hare, of 10. New Hill, Conisbrough„ as married by the Rev. Braithwaite in Conisbrough Parish Church last Thursday to Mr. Harold Clive Garbutt, only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Garbutt, of 11, New Hey Road, Wakefield Road, Bradford.

The bride, given away by her father, wore a pale blue figured silk dress, blue headdress and gloves and carried a bouquet of sweet peas.

Best man was Donald Lyall„ and groomsmen Alfred Hare and Mr. Fred Rowley.

A reception was held after the wedding at the Victoria Room the bride’s mother wearing a navy costume with matching accessories and spray of pink carnation. The bridegroom’s mother wore a lemon figured dress, black coat with matching accessories also with a spray of pink carnations.

The bride’s travelling costume to the honeymoon which had been spent in distant, was a pale blue costume with cherry accessories.
