A Stage Romance

The marriage took place quietly on Tuesday at St. Martin’s-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London, of Miss Nancy Harker, daughter of Mrs Nancy Harker Craven Harker, of London and Mr. Maxwell Wray, second son of Mr. Herbert H. Wray, of “Strathmore,” Conisborough.

The bride was given away by her brother, Lieut. L. G. Harker, 2nd Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment, and following the ceremony the couple left for Venice and the IItalian lakes.

The bridegroom is director of the Sheffield Repertory Theatre, was formerly on the staff of file famous “Old Vic” Theatre, and was also for a time stage manager for Mr. Basil Dean. He has done excellent work for the Sheffield Repertory Company which under his direction has during the last two seasons made a marked advance in public favour.

Mrs. Maxwell Wray also  has theatrical experience.
