Sheldon – Moss

Miss Nellie Moss, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Moss, 30, The Villas, Tickhill Square, Denaby, was married at the Denaby Parish Church on Saturday by the Rev. S. Powley to Mr. Donald Sheldon, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Sheldon, 92, Hope Avenue, Goldthorpe.

The bride wore sky blue sand crepe, with headdress trimmed with forget-me-nots. She carried red carnations.  She was attended by Misses Mabel Moss and Olive Sheldon, in silver grey phantom crepe and Irene Moss in shell pink phantom crepe, all with close fitting hats and silver shoes, and carrying pink carnations.

Mr. Roland Travis (Batley) was best man and Mr. L. Moss groomsman.

The service was choral.  Mr. E. Drabbs was organist and the hymn “Lead us, Heavenly Father lead us,” was sung.

A reception was held in the Denaby Church Hall, the bride’s mother wearing brown figured marocain, and the bridegroom’s mother a pale blue coat frock.
