Wedding – Smith & Bell
The wedding took place on Saturday at Conisbrough Parish Church of Miss Doris Irene Smith, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Ezra Smith, 21, Pope Avenue, Conisbrough, to Mr. James Bell, third son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bell, 114, Annerley Street, Denaby Main. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. Leslie Smith, wore a gown of ivory satin. She carried white gladioli and fern.
The bridesmaids were Misses Winfred Sheppard, L. Griffin, H. Dunkerley, I. Sheppard and C. Moody. The best man was Mr. Fred Bell (brother of the bridegroom), and Mr. Joe Woodward was groomsman. A reception was held at the bride’s home.
