The wedding of Miss Muriel Unwin, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Unwin, of 35, Warmsworth Street, Denaby Main, was solemnised at the Parish Church by the Rev. S. Powley on Monday. The bridegroom was Mr. Ronald Woodhouse, fourth son of the late Mr. H. L. Woodhouse and of Mrs. Woodhouse, of 78, Harborough Avenue, Manor Estate, Sheffield.
Given away by her father, the bride was attired in white silk, the material having been sent from India by her brother, Private J. A. Unwin. She wore a veil lent by her aunt (Mrs. L. Soar) and orange blossom and carried white chrysanthemums. She had in attendance Miss Joyce Unwin, dressed in blue silk, with silver shoes and head band, and Miss Eileen Woodhouse, wearing pink floral georgette, with shoes and head band to correspond. They carried anemones.
Mr. W. Woodhouse was best man, and Mr. J. Woodhouse groomsman. The mother of the bride wore navy blue marocain, and the bridegroom’s mother a rust coloured dress. A reception was held at the St. John Ambulance Brigade Headquarters Club.
