A wedding of considerable interest locally was solemnised at the Parish Church, Luton, on Saturday when Flight Lieutenant John Hubert Dunk, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Dunk of “Bryn Don.” Conisbrough was married to Miss Rose Irene Vickers, only daughter of Dr. and Mrs. B. Randall Vickers, of “Wakehurst,” 31, Marsh Road, Luton.

The bridegroom holds both D.S.O. and D.F.C. The bride is a trained nurse of St. Bartholomews Hospital, and until last week was sister-in-charge of the Nuffield Medical Research Ward of Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford.

Given away by her father, the bride had chosen a gown of cream satin broche, surmounted by an old family veil of net, held in position by a coronet of orange blossom. Cream roses formed her bouquet. The only attendant Miss Joanna Hepher, a friend of the bride, provided effective contrast in a blue gown and a white lace Juliet cap. She carried variegated sweet peas.

The bride’s mother wore a frock of turquoise crepe, and a black hat, while the choice of the bridegroom’s mother was a gown of brown and white silk.  Mr. William Dunk, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.

The service, which was choral, was conducted by the vicar, Canon W. Davison, the organise being Mr. Geo. Bone.

After a reception at the bride’s home, the couple left for a honeymoon in London. The bride travelled in a navy blue two piece.
