Cox—Wheeliker.

Miss Alice Wheeliker, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Wheeliker, Parkgate Avenue, Conanby, was married at St. Peter’s, Conisboro’, on Saturday, to Mr. Clarence Cox, eldest son of Mrs. J. Gascoygne, Chambers Avenue, Conanby, and the late Mr. Cox.

Mr. Wheeliker is a deputy at Denaby Colliery, and during the war served with the York and Lancaster Regiment, being awarded the Military Medal when a sergeant, and the Military Cross when a lieutenant. He was “invalided out” from Paitschendaele in 1917.

The bride was given away by him and wore white lace and ninon and carried carnations. Her attendants were Misses Avis Tiernan, Gladys Bellamy and Charlotte Gascoygne.

Mr. Arnold Wheeliker was best man. The Rev. J. E. Robinson officiated.

The future residence of the couple is The Crescent, Conanby.
