Mary Edmondson Turner, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Turner. of 30, Parkgate Avenue, Conisborough was married at Conisborough Parish Church on Monday to Mr. John William Booker, second son of ,Mrs. and the late Mr. W. H. Booker, of 47, Firbeck Street. Denaby Main.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white figured cloque with veil and halo of white flowers and carried pink roses. She was attended by six bridesmaids, Miss Doris Turner in a dress of mauve satin beaute; Miss Joan Overton, who wore gold satin beaute; Miss Mary Turner and Miss Florence Joyce, who were attired in gowns of pink lace; and Miss Teresa Spence, who had a dress of mauve satin beaute.

The bridesmaids, who carried pink carnations and posies of sweet peas, received necklaces from the bridegroom. The bride also received a necklace from the bridegroom, while the bride’s gift to the bridegroom was a signet ring.

Mr. George Turner was best man and the groomsman was Mr. William Booker.

The bride has been on the staff of the refreshment buffet at the L.M.S. railway station at Sheffield, and received a number of gifts from her colleagues.
