Week-End Youth Hostelling

Ivanhoe Cyclists in North Yorkshire

Over Easter 16 members of Conisbro’ Ivanhoe Cycling Club spent the week-end youth hostelling in. North Yorkshire and Durham. Here they encountered snow-bound roads and thoroughly wintery conditions.

The club 10 mile championship has been won by B. Breedon with a time of 24 minutes 40 seconds. Second was G. A. Todd 25-31 and for third place M. M. Jones and A. Marshall tied with 25-39. First handicap place was taken by P. Beighton 29-3

In the Don Valley Women’s ’10’, 16-years-old P. Johnson in her first race returned 30-27 to tie for third place.

Next week’s club run is to Matlock, taking tea at Pond Street. The start is from the Red Lion at 9 a.m. In the evening there will be a committee meeting.
