Wesleyan Church.
The annual meeting of trustees of the Wesleyan Church was held last Thursday, the Rev. W. Galloway Mitchell presiding. He thanked all sections for loyal support, and specially mentioned the bright Hour, the Fellowship Players, the Sewing Meeting, the Sunday School, and the bowling party.
The proceeds from a garden party at Mr. H. L. Smethurst’s and an “At Home” in November were appreciated.
The officers elected were: Treasurer, Mr. J. Maxfield; secretary, Mr. G. H. Smout ; chapel stewards, Mr. C. Stanton and Mr. H. Brocklesby; choirmaster, Mr. Harry Johnson; organist, Mr. Kilner Bateson; deputy organist, Mr. H. Johnson; sidesmen„ Messrs. T . Leonard,’ W. Blakelock, J. Maxfield, H. L. Smethurst, W. Appleyard, G. Bateson, W. Fairy, C. Cunnington, G. Woodley, G. Fairham, R. Bourne, A, Gammons. G. P. Downing, L. Blakelock and H. Bateson.
