Whitsun Output Drop
The shorter working week caused the Whitsuntide holidays cut output in No 3 Area of the North-Eastern Divisional Coal Board last week by 26,188 tons.
Total area output was 96,774 tons compared with 122,963 tons the previous week. None of the pits passed its target.
