Wilful Damage at Conisborough
George Dixon, a youth, was charged with doing damage to a quickset hedge belonging to Mr. G. Walker. J.P.
Mr. Hall appeared for Mr. Walker, and remarked that the complainant had no feeling in the matter, but wished to have a stop put to the damage which was done. Day after day the fences in the field were pulled down and this had been done to the extent of a hundred yards. The police were asked to watch and the result wee the apprehension of the defendant. The damage done was 6d. in this case.

The defendant admitted having gone through the hedge
The Chairman said an enormous amount of damage was done in these ways and often horses got out of the fields through the gap made five minutes
The defendant said he thought building was going to be commenced in the field.—Ordered to pay 6d. damage and 9s. 6d. costs.
