Wilful Damage at Denaby Main
On Saturday, at Doncaster, Wm. Murray, trammer, of Conisbro’, was charged with having done wilful damage to a hedge.
Mr. Hall appeared on behalf of the complainants, the Denaby Main Colliery Company.
A policeman stated that he saw the defendant walk across a field and deliberately break down a hedge, leaving a large gap.
Mr. Yarborough (chairman): What was he there for?
Witness: He was going to a cricket match.
Fined 2s. 6d., 6d. damage, and 11s. 6d. costs.
