Worm Plague
Denaby War Memorial the extremely attractive appearance which in a drab industrial setting, annually draws the admiral of hundreds of passing motorists, is suffering from a plague of worms.
The splendid turf on the five lawns at the park has been almost destroyed by thousands of worms which have bored their way through the top dressing of the lawns.
Every effort is being made to remove the unwanted “guests” and the worms are being killed by patent destroyers.
