At Conisb orough on Saturday week. The visitors started the bail, but were soon playing on the defensive. Tyas scored from a long shot. This roused the visitors, and Chester, after a bit of neat parsing, their first goal. They still pressed, and Senior, the home custodian, in trying to save his charge, receied a nasty kick on the nose and had to retire.

After this the homesters had all the best of the game, although playing only ten men, but luck against them, and when the whistle blew the game stood : Conisborough Town 1  Hexthorpe Wanderers 1

The hoses captain won the toss and elected to kick uphill. At the interval Denaby led by three goals to one.

On restarting, Rawmarsh quickly scored twice. Then of the Denaby backs fouled the ball, and a penalty kick was given, which was scored from and the visitors left the field ten minutes before time.
