April 1964 was the month a ‘Beatle’ Hat was found down Cadeby Pit

although a 2-9 score ‘wasn’t one sided’!

In August 1964 a young Denaby PC rescues a dog from the river
Young children organise a ‘King Sized’ Jumble Sale
there were Angling awards at the Comrades, the Drum and the Welfare
Conisbrough C.C. open their new Pavilion

United’s new Manager confidently predicts they won’t finish bottom –
and they lose their first 3 matches !

and stories of a terrific 15 year old Ambulance cadet
who has given 600 hours service to he elderly
Ellershaw Youth Club do a Nativity Play
while Northcliffe produce ‘Brer’ Rabbit
and Vandals attempt to destroy Denaby School’s Christmas
but Tom Hill come to the rescue and saves the day
