Autographs of Yorkshire Cricket Team
Two of the proudest boys in Conisborough this week must have been Gerald Lowe, of the Star hotel and Peter Otley, of Low Road, both of whom have revived complete autographs of the Yorkshire cricket team.
They have had to thank Ellis Robinson for this achievement and are most grateful to him.
They were at Queens Park, Chesterfield, on Saturday, for the Derbyshire and Yorkshire match, and during the game their scorecards were handed to Robinson, who gladly went round his colleagues and handed back a prize collection to his delighted admirers.
Peter afterwards “tackled” some of the Derbyshire players and soon made his treasure doubly valued. His father and Mr. Harry Appleyard went over to the fixture.
