Castle Football Club Paper Chase

The members of the Conisbro´ Castle Football Club had a paper chase on Christmas Day.

The hares, having thirteen minutes start, made for Denaby Thick, from there to Hooton Cliff, and on to Firsby reservoivr, the dogs losing scent there for ten minutes after a fast run of 50 minutes.

They then went up to Micklebring and then to Clifton, again losing scent.

After a good chase of an hour and a half they reached the Red Lion, where the host, Mr. T.Shutt, had provided a supper, and good justice was done to it.

After the cloth was removed, a pleasant evening was spent in singing and music.
