Conisborough Tipplers

Kate Murray, described as a housekeeper, on New Conisborough, was summoned for having been drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on the 10th inst.

Police Constable Richardson said he saw the defendant in a very drunken state. She was wanted to fight with a man, and when he told her to go home she went down the street, and then wanted to fight some women.

Police Constable Barnett gave similar evidence, and the defendant, who did not appear, was fined 20 shillings and costs.

Job Fawley, a miner, of new Conisborough, was summoned for having been drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on the 10th
inst.

The defendant did not appear.

Police Constable Kilner, in proving the case, said the defendant was very drunk and his face was covered with blood. The officer had to threaten to lock him up before he would be quiet.

Police Constable Garnet corroborated, and the defendant was fined five shillings and costs.

John Roan, miner, New Conisborough, was summoned for having been drunk and disorderly on the 14th inst. at Conisborough.

The case was proved by police Constable killed. The details were of the ordinary kind.

Police Constable Richardson, in corroboration, said the defendant was very drunk.

 

Fined 20 shillings, including costs.

William Henry Freestone and John Evans, were summoned together for having been drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on the 14th inst. Freestone pleaded guilty and was for, and was fined 2/6 and 9/- costs.

Police Constable Barnett proved the case against seven, we said, was very drunk in Loversall Street in company with the defendant. Evans use very bad language.

Police Constable Kilner gave corroborative evidence, and the defendant was fined 20 shillings and costs.
