November 1901

Mexborough and Swinton Times, November 1

Conisborough´s Man’s Record.

Joseph Charlesworth, a new Conisborough, miner, has a very bad record, and that was probably the reason he did not answer a summons charging him with having been drunk and disorderly at Mexborough on October 5.

The case was proved by Police Constable Blacker

It was true that the defendant had 65 previous convictions, and he was fined 40 shillings, including the cost.

James Topliss, a Conisborough man, whose wife appeared, was fined five shillings and 11 shilling costs for being drunk and disorderly at Mexborough on September 28.
