Cricket Prospects.

Denaby and Cadeby.

The Denaby and Cadeby cricket Club is anticipating a successful season.

The ranks will this season be strengthened by the addition of T. Poole, of Mansfield, a right arm medium paced bowler, who was very successful with Denaby on their tour last year. The attack will also include Worthington, Greenwood, Shoesmith, Kennedy and Luther Robinson, whilst Worthington, Greenwood, Tibbles, Robinson and Narraway are expected to get the runs. Mr. H. C. Harrison is again to be captain, and Mr. Luther Robinson is the vice-captain.

The first match is at Doncaster on the 26st inst. when Denaby visit the L.N.E.R. at Edenthorpe. On May 3rd South Kirkby will be visitors at Denaby.

The new pavilion will be ready for use at the first match, and its conveiences will be much appreciated, but the formal opening will be later in the season.

The reserve team will be captained by Mr. T. Peters as his lieutenant, and will play in the senior division of the Doncaster League. The first match is at home on April 25, when Brodsworth will be the visitors.

Conisborough.

The Conisborough Cricket Club first team will play in the Doncaster League, Division 2, as previously.

Mr. P. Kelly is the captain, and Mr. H. Wilkinson, vice-captain.

The club secretary, Mr. J. H. Rawding, junr., will captain the reserve team for friendly matches, and Mr. W. Lewis will be his deputy.

The first match is at home for the league team, and April 26th when Balby will be the visitors.

The reserves commence at home on May 3rd when Sprotborough will provide the opposition.

It is thought that all last year´s players will be available with probably the exception of F. Appleyard, who it is thought will try his hand with Denaby, and F. Clarkson, who expects to play with Sheffield University.
