Conisborough Welfare have played all their matches in the Mexborough Association League and have still to meet defeat.
Last week-end they met the only other unbeaten side in the tourney (Thurnscoe Victoria) at Thurnscoe and robbed the latter of that distinction with a 2 – 1 verdict. Whitehead, former Thurnscoe player, got Welfare´s equalizing goal in the second half.
In the Denaby Junior League, Dale Brown´s and Manvers O.B.W. companion at the tail-end of the chart, met at Manvers and Dale Brown´s registered their first away success of the season, creeping within a point of Manvers who have played a game more. They won 4-2.
