Denaby & Cadeby 124 for 8 Aston Hall 123

After Saturdays outstanding match against Aston Hall at Denaby, Denaby and Cadeby find themselves at the top of the South Riding League.

Denaby´s two fast bowlers. Gilbert Lant and Dick Lawley were unchanged for 21 hours, Lant taking 7 for 44 and Lawley 2 for 75.

Aston Halls best bowlers, R. Coxon and A. Setterley, got 3 for 35 and 3 for 27 respectably, and the Simmonite brothers scored 32 (A. Simmonite) and 29 (B. Simmonite).

For Denaby. Peter Taylor scored 32 and was bowled out when the scores where equal. Peter Downing scored 23 , and Dick Lawley scored 18 not out, batting like an opening batsman. The final score was Aston Hall 123 all out, Denaby and Cadeby 124 for eight.
