Drunk in Charge of a Horse.
Joe Green, contractor, of Clifton, near Conisbrough, was charged before the Doncaster Borough Bench, on Monday morning with being drunk whilst in charge of a horse and cart on Saturday afternoon in French gate, Doncaster.
Police Constable Cobb, said he saw the prisoner leading the horse up Frenchgate about half past three and he was in a very drunken state.
Prisoner pleaded guilty, and the Bench considering that he had been previously fined several times, inflicted a penalty of 20 shillings and costs, total 27 shillings, or in default 10 daysin the house of correction.
