Fatal Accident at Denaby Main – William Harthill

On Wednesday William Hartill, a miner, who was employed at the Denaby main colliery, died at the Doncaster infirmary, from exhaustion, consequent on gangrene.

On 12 January Hartill, whilst working at the Denaby Main PiIt, had the misfortune to have a quantity of coal falling on his thigh, fracturing it.

He was removed to the infirmary, and gangrene set in two days after.
