Fisher Family
Mr and Mrs Fisher of 30 Adwick StreetDenaby main, have supplied five sons and a son-in-law for the Army.
One of the sons and a son-in-law havebeen killed, and of the remaining sons one has been wounded and one invalided home from Egypt.
Private Arthur Fisher (York & Lancaster) aged 18 has been killed in action after serving for 10 months in France.
Private Thomas Fisher (York & Lancaster) aged 22 was wounded in the shoulder in May and is now in hospital in Glasgow. He is married.
Private J Fisher (York & Lancaster) has been invalided home from Egypt and is at present at home on short furlough.
Private E Fisher(York and Lancaster), aged 21, enlisted last Christmas and is now in France.
Private W Fisher (K.O.Y.L.I. territorials) aged 28 is also in France.
The son-in-law Private Noah Armstrong (York and Lancaster) of 26 Adwick Street, Denaby main, was killed in action at Hooge on August 9, 1915
