Denaby Win by a Big Margin

An unbroken opening partnership of 122 by Burkinshaw (76) and Greenwood (32) enabled Denaby and Cadeby to gain a 9 wickets victory over Rossington at Denaby. Burkinshaw had four sixes and seven fours in his masterly innings.
Rossington hardly recovered from their disastrous start of two down for 8, and at 5 for 85 the slide started again and they were all out for 118, the runs being mainly obtained by Clarkson (19), Harkin (28), Hunt (20), Concannan (15), and J Drakeley (11). For Denaby Porter took 4 for 40 and Wathey 3 for 28. E Robinson, apart from taking two wickets, made two good catches.
