Miner’s Trip – Liverpool and New Brighton

July 1880

Mexborough and Swinton Times, July 30.

Miners Trip.

Liverpool and New Brighton

On Saturday last, the miners, along with the officials employed at Denaby Main Colliery, had their annual excursion.

Liverpool was the place chosen this year.

Unfortunately the weather was not so much as that desired at holiday times, but, notwithstanding this, a very pleasant time was spent in visiting the museum, picture gallery, and other places of interest in the town, as well as the docks and New Brighton.
