Organ Recital at Conisborough.

The members of the Conisborough Parish Church and all those who attended the church on Sunday evening last, were given a rich musical treat, where Mr S.H.F.Weale, F.R.C.O., L.R.A.M., organist and master of the choristers, Parish Church, Newark upon Trent, and formerly organist at the church at Conisborough, gave an organ recital.

His playing delighted all lovers of music who attended. The way in which he handled the organ proved a master of the instrument. Each item was faultlessly given, especially the second one, Adagio, G Minor Symphony.

He was ably assisted by Miss C Liversidge, of Mexborough, who gave him two solos in a very pleasing manner. The following was the programme:

Finale in F sharp (5 th Sonata)Reinburger

Adagio (from G Minor Symphony) Lemare

Prelude and Eugue in C Bach

vocal solo, “The Heavenly Dream,” Miss C Liversidge

Idyl Marshall

Vocal solo “Abide with me.” Miss C Liversidge

Meditation Meilly

Grand Choer in D major Guilmant

“The blessing”
