Pony Drivers Responsibility.

November 1901

Mexborough and Swinton Times, November 1.

A Pony Drivers Responsibility.

John Crowson, a pony driver, New Conisborough, was summoned to show cause why he should not contribute to the maintenance of the illegitimate child of Emma Parsons, of which he was the putative father.

The defendant denied the allegation, and was represented by Mr Baddiley.

Mr George Wilson Andrews appeared for the applicant.

After a lengthy hearing, in the course of which several witnesses were called, the Bench made an order for the payment of three shillings a week until the child is 16 years old.
