Rover Scout Concert

The concert given by the Rover Scouts in the Church hall on the evening of Thursday week was very well patronised and the funds of the promoters should benefit very materially.

The songs of Mr. Smith and Miss Leckenby were thoroughly enjoyed, and the encores they received were highly deserved.

The comic songs of Mr. Thornton and the sketches given by the Rover Troop were received with much mirth.

Major Clarkson was in the chair and voiced in felicitous terms his appreciation of the efforts of the performers.

Mr Morton Nicholson in seconding a vote of thanks raised a laugh when he introduced the promoter as a person whose services were deserving of acknowledgement.

The sketches were repeated on Saturday evening at the Convalescent Home and were much enjoyed by the nursing staff and the convalescents in residence.
