“Waltzing Matilda” will take them to Snowdonia.
The first “mixed” camping party to be organised by the staff of Conisbrough High School sets out for a three-day expedition into Snowdonia on Thursday.
Mr J. Carter will supervise the girls in the 14 strong group, which is to travel in the schools recently christened 3 ton lorry “Waltzing Matilda”
Accompanied by Mr David Taylor, Mr John Millington, Mr Eric Copley, headmaster, Mr A.G.G.Young and Edale Peak Park Warden Mr George Garlic, the students will return home on Sunday.
