A Conisbrough Prisoner
Private Fred Woodward, R.N.D., whose parents reside at 106, Earnshaw Lane, Conisbrough, has been a prisoner of war in Germany for about a year.
He was captured at Antwerp, during the fall of the town, and is now in the internment camp at Gefangenlager, Doeberitz, Germany. His letters on the whole are cheerful, but he continually asks for more food stuffs.
His parents, Mr and Mrs J Woodward, have also three more son is serving in the forces – private George Woodward, 11th A.C.C., who is in the Dardanelles; Private Harry Woodward, the 2nd/5thK.O.Y.L.I.; and private Ernest Woodward, 13th Yorkshires, who are both in training at present
